The Owls Are Not What They Seem

Recently, I took a stroll down memory lane... with a complete Twin Peaks series marathon!  I forgot how awesome & creepy, retro, witty, smart & sexy this gem was; and how controversial for basic t.v it was at the time.  The music of Angelo Badalamenti & Julee Cruise is amazing! I was too young to appreciate it & be involved in the fun back in 1989/1990.
However, my love for the character of Special Agent Dale Cooper lives on, what a dreamboat!!

Most of it was filmed here, just outside the city- in North Bend & Snoqualmie, WA.
It's pretty sweet to be able to go out there & take a lovely hike up a mountain, have lunch at the "RR Diner" & visit the Falls, etc.  The last time I went was a year ago.  Sadly, the original diner caught fire, so they remodeled.  It still oddly charming, but not the same :(
Anywho, enjoy!

Twin Peaks

Sunday

'Twas noontide of summer,
And mid-time of night;
And stars, in their orbits,
Shone pale, thro' the light
Of the brighter, cold moon,
'Mid planets her slaves,
Herself in the Heavens,
Her beam on the waves.
I gazed awhile
On her cold smile;
Too cold–too cold for me-
There pass'd, as a shroud,
A fleecy cloud,
And I turned away to thee,
Proud Evening Star,
In thy glory afar,
And dearer thy beam shall be;
For joy to my heart
Is the proud part
Thou bearest in Heaven at night,
And more I admire
Thy distant fire,
Than that colder, lowly light.
